This design kicks off our trip to Finland! We will be there for nine months on Jessica’s Fulbright grant. My goals: practice my design and get a teaching job. For now, I can only work on my designs.

This design borrows a lot from other artists. The airplane itself is nearly identical to one of my favorite beer logos by the Connecticut Valley Brewing. I thought I’d study their logo by recreating and reusing it for something personal. It just so happened to coincide with our departure.

The color scheme is partially borrowed from a Finland poster from Artic frame studio. They have an entire series of beautiful travel posters that I recommend checking out.
